Our Mission

Coconino CASA for Kids, Inc. exists to serve and improve the lives of abused, neglected, and abandoned children, youth and young adults of Coconino County and to support the work of the CASA Program and CASA Volunteers.
Who We Are
Coconino CASA for Kids, Inc. is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization. The "CASA" in Coconino CASA for Kids stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate. CASA volunteers are community based volunteers, certified by the Arizona Supreme Court, who advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children who are involved in the juvenile courts. Coconino CASA for Kids, Inc. helps support the important work provided by CASA volunteers by offering special projects, activities, and funding for the needs of children in our community.

Coconino CASA for Kids, Inc. was founded in 2011 by Becky Lewis, a longtime CASA and community leader, when she saw a need to support the CASA volunteers who work with abused, neglected, and/or abandoned children of Coconino County.  Generally, the children that we assist are served by the Coconino County DCS staff and CASA volunteers.

Coconino CASA for Kids, Inc. does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations. These activities include, but are not limited to, hiring and firing of staff, selection of volunteers and vendors, and provision of services. We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members of our staff, clients, volunteers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
