Andrea Merrihew

Hello, my name is Andrea Merrihew, and I serve as a board member on the Coconino CASA for Kids board. I am a social services leader who worked in the child welfare field for 11 years providing supportive services to young people transitioning out of the foster care system, and with families whose children were removed from their care. My mission is to support all individuals and families, through a trauma-informed lens, in helping them enhance their social connections and protective factors. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue providing support to children and youth experiencing the child welfare system, and the positive impact this can have on their lives.

Leea Fawn Vasquez

I, Leea Fawn Vasquez, am deeply rooted in the Flagstaff community, not only as a long-time resident but also as a former foster parent and small business owner. Through my personal experiences, I’ve gained a profound understanding of the challenges and needs within the foster care system. I have always admired the mission of CASA and was overjoyed in 2021, when I was invited to join the board of CCFK. It has been an absolute honor for me to be a part of such an incredible support council and diverse group of volunteers, all dedicated to the vital mission
of supporting families and empowering youth in foster care.

Aaron Secakuku

I am a member of the Hopi Tribe from the village of Bacavi on the Hopi Reservation, I am of the Greasewood clan. I am married and have two girls. Our family resides in Flagstaff, Arizona. We do make frequent trips to the reservation to participate in tribal traditions, cultural and religion. This is also where we practice the art of dry farming and produce our family’s agricultural goods.

I am currently employed with Red Feather Development as a program manager here in Flagstaff. I have resided here in Flagstaff for over 30 years and have been involved in a number of other non-profit organizations.
