The Blavin-Bettin Scholars Program at NAU supports youth out of foster care in their dreams to achieve a post-secondary education. The program helps students navigate and maximize their college experience as they pursue a Bachelor’s degree at Northern Arizona University. CCFK began financial support in the 2024-25 academic year to assist students with housing, basic needs, and funding for emergencies.
Currently 37 students are enrolled in the program. These students can submit grant requests as needed; CCFK has provided $2,650 to date. In December, each student received a $150 holiday gift card. CCFK will continue this assistance for the 2025-26 school year.
CCFK has opened the grant process to dependent children from Gila County for two years. Gila County does not have a support council and has approximately 100 children with a dependency.
Grant requests can be submitted through the CCFK website.
